If the following skills and responsibilities describe you or someone you know, reach out to Elizabeth at elizabeth@untangleyourbiz.com to start the conversation.

Top 10 Skills

  1. Confident expert. Humble, yet not afraid to say, “I know this is the best way to proceed.” Unwilling to go in a direction that is not in the client’s best interest. Keep themself in the “guide” position by giving prescriptions to clients rather than taking orders from them.

  2. Simplifier. Able to boil down complex ideas into a single point. Able to help clients sort through what’s most/least important within their institutional knowledge.

  3. Relational. Able to put people at ease quickly and build friendly relationships. Leaves clients asking, "What else can we hire you to do?"

  4. Learner. Stays curious, asking powerful questions that uncover the unconscious. Unafraid to ask “dumb” questions. Top-notch interview skills.

  5. Entrepreneurial. Self-starting, self-managed, and action-oriented. While we value excellence in our work, we also adopt a “Done is better than perfect” mentality. Able to separate the details that matter from the details that don’t.

  6. Problem solver.  Adopts a “where there’s a will, there’s a way” mentality.

  7. Writing skills. Able to identify who the audience is for a piece of content, then clearly communicate complex information through written text.

  8. Project management skills. Able to drive client engagements forward, keeping all key players accountable.

  9. Professional. Their entire image (dress, environment, demeanor) communicates that they are prepared, on top of things, and respectful of everyone around them.

  10. A knack for marketing. Ability to identify an appropriate audience. Ability to take mundane information and ask, “how can we best teach this concept to someone new?” Ability to create engaging educational content.
